What I have hearted this week

I just love everything knitted and therefore this is the favorite time of the year for me. Don't you think this would look great on me?

I asked a few things from the designer, since I wanted to get to know her better. Her name is Anabel and she is an argentinean living in a Paris, a crafter since a little girl and a passionate creator.

This same piece happened to be her personal favorite too. The reason for this is that the hat was an asked project by the fashion student for a photo session with a tribute to "Elsa Beskow" (swedish illustrator) as a subject. This is what Anabel wrote me about this piece:

"So, she asked me for a "pine cone" shaped crocheted hat and a photo of the illustration as a guide... I took a real one, studied it a little bit and with nothing else than imagination I made it real. I sold this one last year but I still has it as an item made to order for all the new fans with a goblin spirit."

You can find more beautiful items in her shop on Etsy!

  1. Ooohh..... Elsa Beskow is somewhat of a national treasure for us Swedes and this hat looks exactly like something from one of her stories. :) Love it.

  2. OMG! This is an extraordinary hat! I could not pull it off myself but I could see it on the right woman. So whimsical and technically quite the challenge I am sure!

  3. I knew Anna-Karin would like this one ;)
Very challenging work I have to say. And beautifully made. I guess I have to start to read now those stories too :)

  4. Thanks a lot for the opportunity you gave me with this beautiful gift being featured on your blog. This made me really happy!! thanks for all your kind comments as well.
You are very welcome to my shop.
